... It all fell into place without many incidents apart from the usual performance related hiccups and my getting used to turning pages on the PadMu (yet another new tool I had to incorporate into my performance practice) and trying not to use my left foot (aka 'the turning pages foot') to tap the beat whilst tapping the turning pages pedal. Not the desired effect!
We will tweak our audio and streamline our cameras for the next live broadcast but for now I think I ought to thank YouTube for all the online advice and help in setting up our new venture. The live feed was extraordinarily stable which in itself was a miracle.
There was so much to learn and so many decisions to make about software and hardware just to kick-start livestreaming but there is such good advice out there! I feel elated that we managed to make our first broadcast a reality!
It's a whole new beast live-steaming, and it does feel like a performance. We both tried to glue ourselves on to the music and enjoy every moment of it. From time to time we dared to imagine a bit of ourselves on this world stage performing for whoever would listen. It is almost magical!
