Hellens Manor Concert Series
Hellens is one of the most prestigious venues to make music and we are very honoured to be part of their concert series.

Martin Bills
Martin Bills, who is now based in Shanghai, is an award-winning composer, guitarist, jazz improviser and pianist. He composed 'Night songs' 20 years apart and what I find fascinating is that Martin wants to show the evolution of his compositional technique and the passion of the younger Martin juxtaposed with the more sophisticated and complex older Martin. It was very easy to fall in love with the songs on first hearing/playing. I am excited about performing them with Wendy and Eve in August. They are deeply moving and transcendent. I totally agree with Martin that their sound world is ethereal and iridescent.
Martin is currently composing a piece that all performers will play at the end to celebrate this collaboration. A great way to end such a fabulous concert!
Animo Commissions Premieres
Animo will be celebrating five new premieres of commissioned pieces written by our 2020 composers whose works will be recorded on our 'Animo two' CD.
This is a very ambitious project which we hope will give us 25 new repertoire pieces by 2024.
We believe that this concert will enthrall you! We hope to see you there and we can't wait to share our 'new music' with you.
